It really was raining today and I tried to benefit from it, but I didn't like the results and so I decided to use one of ~Laudriens rain textures I discovered some weeks ago. I love the books of Cecelia Ahern.
=Ronaaa has succeeded in creating a piece reminding one of (as she puts it) 'rainy days, when you sit in your warm room, drinking a cup of coffee, reading a good book and just forgetting everything else.'
Originality: 4 stars
Because =Ronaaa has used resources from other deviants, I cannot award more than three stars. The reason why I've given this aspect an extra star is because she has nevertheless employed these resources to create something original and pleasing to look at.
Technique:4 stars
I like the slightly off-kilter angle, and the fact that the crudely-stacked pile of books is off-centre. There's something reassurng about it. I like the way that she has used the rain and smoke textures to simulate the rainy day experience. I'm left wondering why there are stray coffee beans beside the saucer - but I wouldn't wish to remove them: again, there's something reassuring about them.
Impact: 4 stars
Fours across the board! I feel warm and cozy looking at this piece, and I can practically smell the coffee. I love the way this piece makes me feel, and it seems many of my fellow deviants do as well.
