spring has arrived

This is a great photograph based on some interesting concepts that come together very nicely.

First off, the paradox of socks being worn with no shoes on grass outdoors works well in that it conjures up the feeling that it must be warm outside and that the subject is happy to have their shoes off in the grass. This is doubly reinforced by the spring blossom which, due to the central composition of the feet, makes an appearance in the top left corner and appropriately leads the viewer's eye to the centre of the image. This central focus makes it right that the photographer opted for a square crop.

The thick green and blue colours coupled with the bright white of the blossom and the accurate depth of field come together to create a real sense of pleasant captured moment, and create a pleasing viewing experience.
